Getting to know Jesus

Question: Who is Jesus?

Answer: Jesus is God’s son. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin came into the world. Jesus was sent down by God to pay for our sin.
Jesus was born about 2,000 years ago in a part of land called the Holy Land.
When he was around thirty, he began to preach and heal people. Four years later, he was nailed to a cross and died. He knew he had to die on that cross so that we would be able to go into heaven and not have to die for all the bad things we have done. It is thanks to Jesus that we can go to heaven and be with our heavenly father God.
But when the people who loved Jesus came to his grave three days later, he wasn’t there. He had risen again, just like he said he would.

Question: Where is Jesus now?
Answer: Jesus is in heaven with God now, his father. But he did not leave us alone in the world. he sent the Holy Spirit to watch over us on earth. The Holy Spirit helps us have hope when we feel hopeless, love when we want to feel pain, but most importantly, to remind us that Jesus will always love us.

Question: Does Jesus love me?
Answer: Jesus will always love you. Jesus loves you when you’ve argued with someone, when you’ve had a bad day- Jesus loves you no matter who you are. He loves you more than you could ever dream of and he will always watch over you.

Question: Will Jesus ever stop loving me?
Answer: NO! Jesus will always love and care for you, and will forgive your sins if you ask forgiveness. He will always be at your side, encouraging you and helping you.
Sometimes you may think that Jesus is not real. But he is real, and he is always by your side. He will love you and care for you forever, and you must never lose hope.

Question: How do I know if I’m a Christian?
Answer:There are a few signs that show you are a christian.
When you love Jesus with all of your heart
When you know he loves you
When you believe he died to pay for your sin
When you want to live for Jesus-
These are a few signs that help you know if you’re a Christian. You are going to fail sometimes, but God loves you so much, he sees straight past a failure. He sees that you love him, and he loves you too.

ABC- How to become a Christian

Admit to God that you are a sinner.

Believe that Jesus is God’s son and that he died on the cross so our sins could be forgiven.

Confess that you have sinned to Jesus and ask him to be in your heart forever.

If you do this and truly believe that Jesus is God’s son then you will be a Christian.

A lot of people believe that if you are good, you will get into heaven. But they are mistaken. You must believe that Jesus is our Saviour, God’s son, to get into heaven. We need to pray for the people who believe other things, pray that they will follow the route of Jesus and become christians.

How to Pray

Praying is not as hard as you may think. You can say anything and God will not stop loving you.

You can talk to him about a bad day at school

Or if you’re sad and grumpy

Or if you just want someone to listen, to hear what you have to say.

You don’t have to use fancy words. You can talk to God like you talk to your Best Friend or your Mum and Dad.

But sometimes your friends don’t understand. Sometimes your mum and dad don’t listen. But god will always listen, and he’ll always understand.

Some people ask, “Can you only pray with your hands clasped and your eyes closed?” That is one way of praying, and it shows that you don’t want anything getting in the way of your conversation with God. But you can pray at anytime- when you’re holding toys, when your hugging a parent, when you’re in bed at night. It doesn’t matter where you are, because God will always be at your side.

Love Passage For Kids

I found this passage on Duckwit’s Club Penguin Blog. I think it is beautiful, and speaks the truth. It states that no matter who you are, you are nothing without love.

If I can speak beautifully and can sing like an angel, but don’t love others, I sound like a child banging on a piano or a screeching radio.I I’m very smart, almost a genius, if I can figure out the hardest math problems and understand sentence diagrams, but don’t love others, I am nothing.

Love will stand in line and wait its turn.

Love looks for good in others.

Love doesn’t always want what others have, and it doesn’t brag about what it does have.

Love is polite, even when the other person is rude.

L ove doesn’t get angry over the small things, and it doesn’t remember one reason after another to be hurt.

Love isn’t happy when someone else fails but is happy with the truth.

Love will always protect others, especially those who are often picked on or teased.

Love always believes the best about others and is steady and true.

Love never gives up. Preaching will stop someday. So will speeches. Knowledge will come to an end. Today we only know part of what there is to know. We can preach and speak only with a small part of understanding, but when perfection comes then what is imperfect will go away.

I am now young, and so I talk and think and speak like a child. When I become an adult I will put childish ways behind me. Now we see only a poor reflection, like in a mirror; then we will see face-to-face. Now I only know part of what there is to know; then I will know fully and will be fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

The Book of Proverbs

The Book of Proverbs is a book in the bible filled with lots of wise sayings. We have modern proverbs today like, ‘The Early bird gets the worm’ or ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’. Here are some of my favourite proverbs and what they mean:

Proverbs 10:6

Blessings crown the heads of the righteous,
But violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

This basically means that if you are good you will be blessed, but if you are wicked you will be punished.

Proverbs 10:7

The memory of the rightous will be a blessing,
But the names of the wicked will rot.

This means that if you are good to the people around you, you will be remembered by them. But if you are selfish or hurtful to other people, you will be forgotten and ignored forever.

Proverbs 12:2

From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things,
But the unfaithful have a craving for violence.

This is kind of self-explanatory.

Proverbs 17:1

Better a dry crust with peace and quiet,
Than a house full of feasting, with strife.

This means better to have a good time on your own than have arguing going on all around you.

Thank you for visiting this page. I hope that it will give you hope when you feel all else has failed, and give you courage when you feel shy or scared. Let these words be a guide, and may it help you in life. be proud of your faith and may God bless you and your family forever.

    Very good idea indeed.
I like how you address common issues that make people believe in God/Jesus.

    Here’s a question :P .
If God is so powerful, how did Satan deceive him?

    EDITOR’S COMMENT

At which point are you talking about? Are you asking about the point in which Satan was banished from heaven or the part where he persuaded Adam and Eve to take the fruit from the tree?

  2. This is a good page, but it’s not realy my sorta thing.
I am not a big (God and churches) kind of person.
I am not realy sure what I believe.
What I hate is when you go to church and you have to sing about how he is so much better than you and that you are useless.
I have told you my feelings about what I think.
I understand if you wanna delete this comment.

    EDITOR’S COMMENT

I will not deleter this comment because everyone has their own opinion, and I need to show that.

In church, when we sing hymns, it is not meant to say that we are useless. Hyms are actually praising the Lord, and I’m sorry that when you sing them, that you feel useless compared to God. But God doesn’t think you are useless. God sees a wonderful girl, with friends and family who love her, and a pure, kind heart.

I am glad that you were able to express your feelings with me. xox

    EDITOR’S COMMENT

He doesn’t think we are useless. We are his people and he loves us sooooooooo much. God loves all of us equally. After all, he is our heavenly father. xox
